We celebrated World Ocean Day at the Nai'a Lagoon with our friends from Kuleana Coral Restoration. Guests were able to engage in a one-of-a-kind experience tagging live corals of opportunity (COO), photographing and identifying COO and learning about coastal ecosystems in addition to small yet meaningful ways to take action to protect and restore our precious ocean resources.
This World Ocean Day was generously supported by Marriott's Ko Olina Beach Club and the Ko Olina Resort Operators Association.
Note: The State of Hawaii requires permits for activities/actions associated with the restoration process. Special permits are required for handling coral in Hawaii. Please do not touch any live coral without first obtaining a permit (SAP 2022-41).
