Oʻahu is an island of striking volcanic beauty and rich traditions, luring travelers from around the world throughout its history. Its culture reflects the fusion of East and West, from the architecture of the ʻIolani Palace to the metropolitan cityscape of Honolulu.

Ko Olina was part of the ahupua‘a of Honouliuli in the moku of ‘Ewa on the island of Oʻahu. The shoreline of this ahupua’a stretched for twelve miles along the sunniest side of Oʻahu from the waters of Pearl Harbor to the summit of the Waiʻanae mountains and west to Nānākuli.

Ko Olina is located about 17 miles from the Honolulu Airport and less than an hour from downtown Honolulu.

Famous for its mild tropical climate, Oʻahu has two seasons - winter (November to March) and summer (April to October). Winter temperatures average 76 to 79 degrees during the day and drop 10-15 degrees at night. Summer temperatures range from 78 to mid 80 degrees and will be slightly cooler in the evening. The ocean water temperatures in winter are about 74 degrees and 81 degrees during the summer. Rainfall is more common during the winter months and averages 2 to 4 inches a month.
