Discover Oahu’s most dramatic luxury suite, where modern comforts meet sweeping panoramic views, plus a Peloton, and a new Gray Malin fineart collection
Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina, an award-winning private destination resort on Oahu’s tranquil western coast, has unveiled its thoughtfully reimagined Penthouse Suite. Located on the 17th floor, the 3,200 square-foot (297 square metre) three-bedroom Penthouse seamlessly intersects sophisticated residential-style living with the excitement of contemporary Oahu. Inspired by the stunning backdrop of the jewel-toned Pacific Ocean and the suite’s unique location on the highest floor, the renovation focused on expanding the already breath-taking panoramic views and incorporating modern design elements, from a curated fine art collection and wellness amenities to ample indoor-outdoor living space for family and friends to gather.
“Our goal with the Penthouse renovation was to capture the vibrancy, excitement and sense of place here on Oahu – more modern, less traditional, while also maintaining a luxurious, yet serene ambiance for our guests to retreat to,” says Michael Mestraud, Senior General Manager and Vice President of Residential Operations – The Americas. “The Penthouse is the first of many new ‘modern aloha’ enhancements that will be woven throughout the Resort – from the pool and beach area to the restaurants - to showcase a modern tomorrow.”
Led by Honolulu-based design firm G70 International, the enhanced suite celebrates its quintessential characteristics and design aesthetic by the property’s original architect Edward Killingsworth, while simultaneously incorporating a modern and convivial sense of style. The design aesthetic embodies intimate luxury with contemporary touches, warmth and the comforts and privacy of a beautiful residential space. Upon entry to the three-bedroom suite, guests are welcomed into a newly redesigned hallway that sets the tone featuring a curated collection of fine art photography by renowned aerial photographer Gray Malin. Gray Malin partnered with Four Seasons Resorts Hawaii for a forthcoming special collection of photos showcasing the idyllic and unique destinations of Oahu, Maui and Hawaii Island, to launch in late January 2022. The bright and airy living room features a stunning new open-floor design – seamlessly connecting both the living and dining rooms, and anchored by floor-to-ceiling windows to embrace the alluring ocean views. Malin’s fine art collection, including new Four Seasons Resort Oahu originals, continues throughout the living and dining room areas featuring large-scale photography. The primary bedroom features two new walk-in closets, enhanced bathroom with state-of-the-art TOTO toilets, slate shower and luxurious soaking tub. Perhaps the best room in the suite is the unexpected den, featuring a signature Ko Hana Rum bar by Oahu craft-distillery Ko Hana Rum.
Lending itself to indoor-outdoor living at its best, the expansive wrap-around 800 square-foot (74 square metre) lanai (balcony) features a soft, evocative palette of sea and sky, creating an inviting escape to lounge during the day or relax under the stars in the evening. New flooring, modern coastal furniture, and natural textiles with vibrant touches of colour create a casual, yet luxurious lounge area.
Along with the Penthouse’s expansive indoor design, the spacious and private lanai area offers a stunning ocean-front venue to host private celebrations and weddings for up to 50 guests.
